Today's conversation is with Life Mentor and writer Nicole Barton, who shares the powerful turning point moment that took her from burnout, to now offering retreats in Bali.
Nicole learned early in life that Doing beats Being when it comes to having worth in the world. This belief even followed her into her self-help journey until she met a mentor who changed her life with one insight.
Listen in to find out what this insight was and how you can apply it to your life, so you can stop striving, and start living a more peaceful, purposeful life.

Nicole is a Life Mentor who helps people to find freedom from suffering through workshops, global retreats and one to ones.
She is something of a unicorn within the self-help industry for her candid notion that nobody needs self-help. Committed to supporting people in finding freedom from whatever their particular form of suffering is, she is a breath of fresh air in her admission that while meditation, yoga and anything that leads us into soul-led expression can be useful to drop us out of our heads and into our hearts, none of these practices are prerequisites to peace. Profound, in that Nicole’s life thus far has not been devoid of challenge or trauma.
These days, Nicole facilitates at leading wellbeing centres and festivals including Balance Festival, Rest Fest, The Awakening and Nourished Mind, More Yoga, The Life Centre and Hello Love and appears on radio and podcasts including Talk Radio’s Bad Ass Women’s Hour, BeChilledAF, Three Sixty Conversations and Honestly Cat.
Having written for a plethora of publications including Psychologies, Soul and Spirit Magazine, Tiny Buddha, McGill Media, Yoga Magazine, Kindred Spirit, Your Healthy Living Magazine, Natural Health Magazine, Wellbeing Magazine and Sivana East, Nicole is currently working on her first book.
Having grown up in Worcestershire, she can currently be found house sitting nomadically around the country!
